This page sets out how Pevly's coverage is produced, funded and corrected. It is deliberately short, because the policy is simple.
Independence
Pevly carries no sponsored posts, no paid reviews and no guest placements. No manufacturer, retailer or PR agency has any input into what is published, and none is given advance approval over coverage.
How conclusions are reached
Coverage is based on hands-on use rather than specification sheets. Where an article describes a failure, an assembly problem or a fix, that is something we encountered directly. Where we are relying on manufacturer figures rather than our own measurement, the text says so.
We do not publish scores or rankings. Ranked lists tend to reward whichever product is easiest to monetise, and they age badly. Instead, articles explain the trade-offs and let you apply them to your own situation.
Archived hardware
Some articles cover products that are discontinued. These are clearly marked. They are retained where the underlying design was widely cloned and the guidance still transfers to current machines. Where a product's coverage had no lasting value, the article was removed rather than left to decay.
Corrections
Errors are corrected in place. Where a correction materially changes the substance of an article, the change is noted within it. To report an error, use the contact page.
Funding
Pevly is independently funded. If that ever changes — through advertising, sponsorship or any other arrangement — this page will be updated to say so before the change takes effect.
