Meet the “World’s Smallest Starlight Dash Cam” in this Conbrov T17 dash cam review! The Conbrov T17 is incredibly small, taking up only half of your palm; yet records with great clarity!
If you are like me, then you do not want your windshield cluttered with devices while driving. The T17 is so small that it can easily be tucked up to your rear view mirror allowing for an unobstructed windshield view. Conbrov is renown for manufacturing high quality electronics that range from security cameras to dash cams, and their feature-heavy design is evident in the T17 dash cam.

Size
The Conbrov T17 is really small and I do believe it is currently the smallest dash cam on the market. The T17 measures:
- 2 inches wide by 1.25 inches deep (5cm by 3cm)
- 1.25 inches tall (3cm)

Setup & Use
Setting up the Conbrov T17 took seconds. I inserted a microSD card and, after briefly reading the User Manual, I was ready to go. The dash cam applies a time stamp, so make sure to set the correct time and date in the cam’s settings. Additionally, you can flip the image in the settings if you mount the camera straight up, because it is factory-set to record upside down (i.e. hanging from the window).
When the SD card gets full, the camera will stop recording – unless Looping is enabled. If Looping is enabled, you can choose to record in 3, 5 or 10 minute video increments. Once the card is filled, the oldest video will be overwritten. This is a good way to make sure you never miss recording because of a full card.
The provided window mount is very stable and the suction cup sticks to the window so solidly that it is actually difficult to remove. I made sure to test the camera on a bumpy road and the mount did not fall off the window. The suction mount is adjustable, allowing the camera to pivot 360 degrees around and to be aimed in horizontal and vertical sense. It is important to note that the camera can record while charging.

I found the camera to record well in both sunny and low light conditions. The T17 was tested in full sun, at dusk and at night. Note: never aim the camera in the direction of the Sun for an extended period of time, lest the concentrated sunlight fried the sensor. Find some way to mount the camera so that it is shielded / shaded from the direct sunlight.
I tested the dash cam in a truck (F250) that is high off the road and a sedan (BMW 3 series) that is low to the road, the camera captured each perspective well. The audio should not be overlooked. The cam recorded music and conversations well, with only minor audio spikes when I went over a major bump in the truck which has a stiff suspension.

Navigating the menu is straightforward because of a clear OK button and Up and Down arrows located on the side of the dash cam. As a user, you will be able to quickly adjust video resolution, time, date, looping, and all other settings. The OK button doubles as the Record button. The provided user manual explains different settings and their definitions.

Summary
If you are in the market for a dash cam, or are looking to upgrade, then do not overlook the Conbov T17. For only $42.99 the T17 will exceed your expectations – plus being the smallest dash cam in the World! With the ability to loop-record in 1080p, do it well in any light conditions, and not obstructing the driver’s view, I would like to call this one the best dash cam we have ever reviewed. I was skeptical that a dash camera of this size could deliver, but it made me change my previous thoughts!

real 1080 ?? or interpolated
looks good though, thanks for the review
Hi, Grant… according to other sources on the net too, it seems this dashcam captures 1080p footage.
More importantly, the way it can use low light levels makes it useful and efficient.
In all, its form and size, quality and price should make it an excellent buy.
Enjoy!
