Silica-gel Protective Cover Case and a lens cap
Protecting your camera is important. No matter if it cost 6000$ or 60$, it would be stupid not to take care of it, especially if it can be safe for just a dollar or two. There is an insane amount of silicon gel made, both cover case and a lens cap. These type of gear can be even made via a 3D printer if you happen to have one.
Protective cover case protects Xiaomi YI body. It can not only cushion the fall, if you drop a camera, but also make it scratch resistant. It is similar to those rubberized cases people use for their mobile phones. Additionally, if you are not a huge fan of YI color, this can make it look stylish.
While silica-gel case is not something I use on every day basis while recording, lens cap is a must. And I seriously mean it. If you crash a lens, you would have to replace it. That can cause a lot of trouble and if you do not know how to do it properly, you would have to buy a new camera.
Nobody wants that, right? Especially if it costs less then a dollar. Lens cap protects F2.8 155° wide angle lens, or “eye” of your Xiaomi YI camera.
Lens protector comes in different colors as well. They are also available in different materials. I personally prefer ones made out of silica.
Is the adapter compatible with gopro mounts?
Camera has 1/4″ screw hole, so its compatible with whatever can fit that. For GoPro mounts, you need an adapter.
I do have a problem. I’m using e original waterproof case. I recorded some videos & snap photos while in a swimming pool, only about 1.5m deep. Now the problem is when I tried to view it on my tablet via otg, all videos & photos taken during the swim are not there! Its strange cos all e videos taken before & after e swim are there, none lost. Even e file numbering sequence proves so.
Hope I didnt missing out anything. Is there anyone out there facing this problem? Googled hard for info but none found. Would gladly appreciate any help.
Don’t view the files in a tablet or phone. Your phone and tablet do have separate Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) which may conflict to naming folders since your Yi Cam also have separate DCIM. Recommend to view the files in a computer.

PS: great revieuws.
No, you can’t. I saw something here, but really do not know if it will work.
