Floating Hand Grip For Xiaomi Yi
Like a waterproof case, this piece of gear comes as a must if your intention is to use the camera underwater. Its main purpose is to prevent your tiny camera from drowning. Yeah really, if you accidentally drop your camera while it being attached to a grip, it will not sink. Instead your camera will float.

Floating grip can not only serve as a protection but also help you stabilize your video while swimming or diving, because it provides firm and much better grip.
Plenty of people would say : “I do not give a damn about dropping the camera at the bottom of the ocean, it is cheap anyway, I will buy another one”. Okay, so with this logic, do these people do not even need a waterproof case underwater, because the camera is cheap, right? Oh boy.
I am not a diver myself, but when going underwater just for fun, I always use a floating grip. For this particular camera, you can use any.
There is an official one, which is pricier then third party ones.
If you ask me, it does not make huge difference which one you will get. If you are on a budget, you can get cheaper one, you will be just fine, as long as the grip floats, no needs to spend tons of money on official items.

Is the adapter compatible with gopro mounts?
Camera has 1/4″ screw hole, so its compatible with whatever can fit that. For GoPro mounts, you need an adapter.
Hi,
I do have a problem. I’m using e original waterproof case. I recorded some videos & snap photos while in a swimming pool, only about 1.5m deep. Now the problem is when I tried to view it on my tablet via otg, all videos & photos taken during the swim are not there! Its strange cos all e videos taken before & after e swim are there, none lost. Even e file numbering sequence proves so.
Hope I didnt missing out anything. Is there anyone out there facing this problem? Googled hard for info but none found. Would gladly appreciate any help.
Don’t view the files in a tablet or phone. Your phone and tablet do have separate Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) which may conflict to naming folders since your Yi Cam also have separate DCIM. Recommend to view the files in a computer.
Can the remote control multiple cameras? Like the remote off the gopro? Or do you know if there is an alternative.
PS: great revieuws.
No, you can’t. I saw something here, but really do not know if it will work.
